“Eastern Wyoming Water Situation”

 presentation by Jacque Trumbull

Earth Day at Chadron State College

The Natural Science Club at Chadron State College, Chadron, NE invited Jacque to speak at their Earth Day Program.  This event took place while the North Central College Accreditation Team was at CSC.  Members of the team were impressed with the variety of conservation topics covered and their significance to the geographic area where the college is located.  Several students from Douglas attend college at CSC.

SMALL ACREAGE CLASS

Converse County Conservation District held a Small Acreage Class at Douglas partnering with NRCS, WACD, Converse County Weed and Pest District, Converse County Extension, and the Rural Water Users Association.  Classes were taught on soil, water quality, grass and weed identification, conservation planning, wildlife habitat management, wildlife and grazing management, irrigation water management, conservation planning, and windbreak forestry.
