SMALL ACREAGE CLASS

Converse County Conservation District held a Small Acreage Class at Douglas partnering with NRCS, WACD, Converse County Weed and Pest District, Converse County Extension, and the Rural Water Users Association.  Classes were taught on soil, water quality, grass and weed identification, conservation planning, wildlife habitat management, wildlife and grazing management, irrigation water management, conservation planning, and windbreak forestry.

 

ALL ABOUT TREES WORKSHOP

What:  “All About Trees” Workshop

Topics Include:  Windbreak and Living Snow Fence Design,  Tree Biology,  Creating An Inviting Habitat for Wildlife

We Will be holding small acreage classes that will be helpful to anyone that is interested in planting trees.  Learn the keys to successful windbreak planting including site selection, species selection for our area, planting and maintaining!
